Support For Classroom Success

Pearson Education is pleased to provide additional after-sales support to help you and your students get the very best from the course materials, including our First Day of Class Service and 24/7 Technical and Customer Support.

First Day of Class Service

Your local Pearson Education representative can provide you with a First Day of Class service. These student presentations demonstrate how to use the course textbook and its accompanying materials – helping to ensure your students get the most from their course materials.

First Day of Class presentations allow you to ensure your students see not only the real value in their textbook but will also ensure they are familiar with how to access and use all of the materials that come with the book.

A First Day of Class student presentation includes:

  • Presentation to your Students – with your agreement, we meet your students – usually during the first or second lecture – and demonstrate the features of the book and any accompanying materials, such as electronic supplements and online materials.
  • Tailored Presentation – we'll put together a presentation, which is tailored to your course. Where there are online materials to show, we will carry out a live demonstration of the products and some of their features.
  • Basic Training on Accessing Materials – we'll walk your students through the process of getting access to the materials, which can include registering for access and logging onto the course.
  • Answer Questions – we can field any questions directly, allowing you to ensure that your students are comfortable in getting the most from their textbook.
  • Provide Hand Outs – we'll provide handouts to students on how to register for online courses plus helpful answers to some frequently asked questions.
  • Work with the Local Book Shop – we'll coordinate our activities with the local bookshop to ensure students can get access to the book when we carry out our presentation.
