About the Author(s)

Richard Stutely is an internationally acclaimed author and business specialist. He has been producing, analysing and using forecasts throughout his career which has spanned banking and finance, government and business in Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.

Richard received a solid grounding in financial and analytical skills with Nat West Bank and at HM Treasury, the British Finance Ministry, before going on to become chief economist with top investment banks (and a member of the London Stock Exchange). He has participated in several business start-ups and product launches. As managing director of a multinational software company, he has been particularly involved in forecasting and reporting for subsidiaries in several countries.He has produced and analysed countless corporate business forecasts. His international economic forecasts were in demand from Embassies and businesses, and he regularly contributed country risk assessments to Institutional Investor. Richard also runs training courses, workshops, seminars and lectures for MBA students and corporate audiences.

Richard books include The Definitive Business Plan (an international bestseller) and Managing the Numbers, both published by Financial Times Prentice Hall; as well as The Economist Guide to Economic Indicators andThe Economist Numbers Guide, both published by The Economist and Bloomberg Financial Publishing.
