Alistair McMonnies takes an object-oriented approach to teaching Visual Basic.Net (VB.Net), the new, fully object-oriented version of Visual Basic. He starts off by covering object-oriented analysis and design and modelling using UML, and then moves on to a detailed discussion of object oriented concepts such as objects and classes. He shows the students how to develop short programs, and also covers more advanced topics such as data structures, components, and database programming.
